Manly runs more happy hours than most suburbs twice its size, but the deals move around. Venues change hands, menus get reprinted, and last summer's $5 beer quietly becomes $6. So we went back to the source: every deal below was checked on the venue's own website or happy hour menu on 4 October 2026. If a venue doesn't publish a happy hour, it isn't on this list.
The short version: the cheapest pour in town is a $6 house beer at The Manly Club, the best cocktail deal is two for $23 at Donny's, InSitu or The Hold, and the best seat is a $10 pint at Felons with the ferries coming in.

On the wharf
The ferry docks right in the middle of Manly's best happy hour strip, and these are the places you can walk to before you've put your Opal card away.
Felons Manly
The brewery's big waterfront hall on Manly Wharf runs happy hour Monday to Friday, 4 to 6pm: $10 pints, $10 wines and $15 signature cocktails. It's the obvious first stop off the ferry, and the outdoor tables facing the harbour go first, so get there early on a warm Friday.
Felons Barrel Room
The brewery's live music room runs its own late session, Wednesday to Saturday, 8 to 10pm: $9 spirits, wine, slushies and beers, with a free slice of pizza on Saturdays. It doesn't run during ticketed shows, which matters this month: the Surf + Sound gigs are in this room.
1979
The music bar calls its happy hour "a midweek ritual": $8 beers, $9 house spirits and wines, $15 cocktails. It doesn't publish the hours, so ask at the bar. Sunday night is Nightcap, pitched at people who work in hospitality but open to anyone: $8 basic spirits, beers and house wines, and cocktails from $12. Thursdays are a candlelit jazz night.
Fratelli Fresh
Fratelli runs happy hour every day from 4 to 6pm, with cocktails, Italian wines and beers. It doesn't publish happy hour prices, but it's one of the few places on this list that's open for it seven days a week, and the pizza and pasta make it an easy early dinner.
4 Pines Brewpub
The brewpub where 4 Pines started does $8.50 pints, house wine and fries, weekdays from 4 to 6pm. It doesn't run on public holidays or event days. There are 13 taps, including a cask ale pump, so it's the place to try something other than the flagship lager.
Up the Corso and through the laneways
Five minutes from the water, the bars get smaller and the cocktails get more serious.
Henry G's
Tuesday to Sunday, 4 to 6pm: $15 select signature cocktails, $9 tap beers and $11 glasses of select wine. A good choice when you'd rather sit down with a proper glass than stand at a busy bar.
Banco
The small Whistler Street wine bar runs happy hour every day from 4.30 to 6pm, with a menu that changes every month and wines on constant rotation. The room is small, so arrive at 4.30 at the weekend. Walk-ins are always welcome.
Belgrave Cartel
Tuesday to Thursday 4 to 5pm, and Friday to Sunday 3 to 5pm, with its own happy hour menu. The 3pm weekend start makes it one of the earliest in Manly.
Donny's
Every day, 5 to 7pm: two of Donny's favourite cocktails for $23, $8 house drinks and happy hour snacks. The later window makes it a natural second stop after the wharf.
InSitu
Every day, 4 to 6pm: two signature cocktails for $23, $8 house drinks and $12 margherita pizzas. Monday is Margy Monday from 4pm: $12 classic margaritas, $12 margherita pizzas and $6 mini margaritas.
The Hold
Tuesday to Sunday, 6 to 8pm: two happy hour cocktails for $23, $8 house wine, house lager and rum mixers, and $40 bottles of wine. Tuesday is the big night, from 5pm until late: $7 tacos, $7 tequila shooters, $8 tequila mixers, $8 Laughing Jack schooners, $8 rum mixers, $12 margaritas and live music.
Margaritas and sushi: Chica Bonita and Sunset Sabi
Both belong to the Good Good Company, and both keep their happy hours short, so time it right.
Chica Bonita
Friday to Sunday, 4 to 5pm: $10 classic margaritas ($12 for the flavoured ones), $8 Corona and Grifter Pale Ale, $10 wines, $5 tacos and $10 chips and guac. On Thursdays there's a late happy hour from 8 to 9pm: $10 margaritas and $10 mini fries, one of the few deals in Manly that starts after dark.
Sunset Sabi
Friday 5 to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday 4 to 5pm: $6 tap beers, $10 wines, sabiritas, spritzes and highballs, plus $3 Sydney rock oysters and $4 nigiri. It's the best food deal on this list.
The cheapest pour: The Manly Club
Monday to Friday, 3 to 6pm: $6 house beers and $6 house wines. That's the cheapest happy hour we found in Manly, and the earliest start. On Saturdays there are $6 schooners from midday. It's a registered club, so expect to sign in at the door.
Worth the detour
Q Station
Up on North Head, the Boilerhouse Kitchen & Bar runs a happy hour on its terrace on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with live music: $7 house spirits and wines, $9 7th Day Brewery beers and $16 margaritas. It's a harbour view most visitors never find.
Harbord Hotel, Freshwater
One beach north, the Harbord does $7 house beer, wine and spirits and $12 margaritas, weekdays from 4 to 6pm (not on public holidays). Walk over the headland from Queenscliff and you've earned it.

Tuesday: tequila night at The Hold from 5pm. Henry G's and Belgrave Cartel start their week.
Wednesday: the Felons Barrel Room's late session, 8–10pm.
Thursday: Chica Bonita's late margaritas, 8–9pm.
Friday: the busiest: Belgrave Cartel from 3pm, Chica Bonita 4–5pm, Sunset Sabi 5–6pm, plus everything above.
Saturday: $6 schooners at The Manly Club from midday, Q Station's terrace, Chica Bonita and Sunset Sabi 4–5pm, and free pizza at the Barrel Room.

How to do it well
- Start at 3pm. The Manly Club, and Belgrave Cartel from Friday to Sunday, open their happy hours an hour before everyone else.
- Chain your sessions. Do the wharf from 4 to 6, then walk up to Donny's (until 7) or The Hold (until 8).
- Come by ferry. The F1 docks a few metres from Felons, and nobody has to drive home. Our ferry guide has the times, including the last boats.
- Public holidays are different. 4 Pines and the Harbord Hotel don't run their deals on public holidays, and the Barrel Room skips ticketed nights.
- Check before you go. These were all live on 4 October 2026, but happy hours change with the seasons.
What isn't here
Some bars people expect to see on a list like this, including Manly Pavilion, Shore Beach Club, The Cumberland and the Ivanhoe, didn't have a happy hour we could confirm on their own websites in October 2026. That's why they're missing, not because they aren't good bars. If you're there anyway, ask: deals sometimes run without being advertised.
