The local take
Chica Bonita is a Mexican restaurant and bar at 9 The Corso, set back from the street, and one of Manly's best-known places for a margarita. The kitchen's own description is "burritos by lunch and tacos by dinner", and the bar backs it up with margaritas and a good mezcal list.
It belongs to the Good Good Company group, which also runs Sunset Sabi and Noon in Manly. Happy hour runs from 4 to 5pm from Friday to Sunday, with a late session on Thursdays from 8 to 9pm ($10 margaritas).
It's open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday, with service all day on Saturdays. From Tuesday to Thursday and on Sundays you can book through OpenTable. Fridays and Saturdays are walk-in only, so arrive early. There's pick-up and delivery too, and groups can book an area or the whole venue.
