FAQ

Frequently asked

What does the Manly itinerary builder do?

You tell it the mood, how long you have, who is with you and roughly what you want to spend, and it returns a timed plan with specific places, realistic walking times between them and a per-person cost estimate. Every stop comes from our own curated list of Manly places rather than an open search, so it will not send you somewhere that has closed. It is free and needs no account.

Can I plan for the actual dates I am visiting?

Yes. Pick a date and the plan is built around that day rather than a generic season: the real forecast, that date's actual sunrise and sunset, the water temperature, the tide times, and whether anything is on in town. Tides matter more in Manly than most places — snorkelling at Shelly and the Fairy Bower rock pools both change with them. Dates too far ahead for a forecast fall back to seasonal advice, and the page says so.

Can I save, share or send my itinerary to my calendar?

Every plan gets its own link the moment it is built, so saving it is a matter of keeping the URL — no account, no login. From the plan page you can email it to yourself, or download it as a calendar file that drops each stop into your own calendar at the right time. If you planned for a specific date, the calendar file lands on that date rather than tomorrow.

Can I choose the places myself instead?

Yes. As you browse the site you can save places to a shortlist — from the map pins, or from any restaurant, bar, hotel or beach page. Anything on that shortlist is treated as a fixed point when the plan is built: the generator works around your choices rather than replacing them, filling in the timing, the route between them and the gaps. The shortlist lives in your browser, so it needs no account either.
