Bottega is a slice of northern Italy dropped onto the Manly backstreets: panini and espresso through the day, then the enoteca side takes over — Italian varietals by the glass, salumi boards, and staff who'll pour you something you can't pronounce and be right about it. The near-perfect TripAdvisor score is young but earned.
It's tiny and it doesn't try to be a late venue; think golden-hour Negroni and a plate of prosciutto before you head deeper into the night. For homesick Italians and anyone who wishes Australian wine bars poured more nebbiolo, it's a small treasure.
