The Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club sits on the harbour at the corner of East Esplanade and Stuart Street, on Manly Cove. It's a sailing club with a bar, a restaurant and an over-water deck, open to the public seven days a week.
Being a club, the drinks are club-priced, and the deck looks across the cove, so it's one of the best-value places in Manly for a sunset drink. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner. You don't need to be a member if you live more than 5km away: you can sign in with photo ID. People who live within 5km of the club need to join.
It opens from midday from Monday to Wednesday, and from 11am the rest of the week, until 10pm early in the week and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Time it for the hour before sunset and get a table at the deck rail to watch the ferries cross the cove.
