Manly Deli is a deli, café and sandwich bar at 37 Sydney Road, between the wharf and the Corso. A shop has stood on this site since 1940, when the Cass family first sold basics like ham, cheese, bread, milk and fruit. Today it's part deli, part café, part sandwich bar.
There's breakfast every day, a coffee bar, and sandwiches made to order on focaccia, Turkish rolls or bagels, with fillings such as roast capsicum, curried egg and grilled chicken. It also serves fresh salads, burgers, homemade soups and takeaway dinners. Reviewers praise the big serves and prices that are low for Manly.
It's open from 6.30am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and closed on Sundays. It's a great place to pick up a picnic lunch for the beach or a sandwich for the ferry.
