Las Palmas is a Mexican garden bar and taqueria at the far end of West Esplanade, on the site of the old Manly Waterworks waterslide park, next to Manly Pavilion and looking over Manly Cove. It comes from The Boathouse Group, which runs several venues on this stretch of the harbour.
The drinks list leads with tropical margaritas, and the food is inspired by the Mexican coast. There are raw tuna tostadas with avocado and lime mayo, beer-battered fish tacos, and beef short rib barbacoa quesadillas. The garden setting suits long afternoons with a group.
