The local take

Felons Manly is the beer hall at the heart of the reborn Manly Wharf — the old Manly Wharf Hotel rebranded under Brisbane's Felons Brewing Co. in October 2024, and the anchor of a growing family of Felons venues on the wharf that now includes the 300-seat Felons Seafood dining room, with a microbrewery and beer hall planned for the old supermarket space. The kitchen pitches itself as Mediterranean with surf-village charm: wood-fired pizzas, fresh local seafood and elevated pub fare — what they call good beer food — poured alongside the house lagers and pales at the water's edge.

It's open 11am to late every day, and the weekly rhythm is easy to like: $20 rotating plates Monday to Thursday, happy hour 4–6pm on weekdays, trivia on Tuesdays and a family-friendly community day with live music every Sunday. Early TripAdvisor reviews are still settling as the big room finds its feet — but with the ferry docking metres away and the harbour glittering past the glass, it's the easiest first stop in Manly.
