Deus Manly
Motorbikes, surfboards and a flat white in one very Manly package.
The local take
Deus ex Machina's Manly outpost, on the corner of Raglan and Whistler streets, is part café, part surf-and-custom-culture showroom. You come in to look at a bike or a board and leave having had a genuinely good coffee among people arguing about swell direction.
It's cheap by Manly standards, the vibe is all salt and engine grease, and it's a two-minute walk from both the wharf and the beach. If your idea of a good morning is caffeine plus browsing hand-shaped boards, there isn't a more on-brand spot in the village.
