Balgowlah Social does what the name says: it's the Sydney Road café where the 2093 postcode runs into itself over coffee. Budget prices, a 4.5 traveller score, prams and cavoodles as far as the eye can see on a Saturday morning.

It's honest café fare rather than destination brunching, and better for it. If you've walked the North Harbour leg of the Spit-to-Manly track and come up the hill, this is a deserved refuel before the bus back down.
